Who We Serve

The Free Clinic proudly serves individuals and families throughout Cleveland who face challenges accessing traditional health care. This includes:

  • Uninsured or underinsured adults, children, and families
  • Low-income residents dealing with economic hardship
  • People experiencing homelessness or housing instability
  • Immigrants, refugees, and newcomers navigating local systems
  • Individuals managing chronic conditions, mental health concerns, or substance use disorders
  • Anyone in need of preventive care, treatment, or support without cost barriers

We require no proof of income, insurance, citizenship, or residency for basic services. Our goal is to eliminate obstacles so care is truly accessible to all.

Our Team

Our strength comes from a passionate blend of paid professionals and dedicated volunteers who share a commitment to equitable health care.

Our clinical team includes:

  • Licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses specializing in primary care, HIV management, chronic disease, and preventive health
  • Board-certified dentists and dental hygienists focused on restorative and educational oral health
  • Licensed mental health counselors, clinical social workers, and substance use specialists providing therapy, crisis support, and recovery services
  • Case managers and patient navigators who connect individuals to housing, food, employment, and other vital resources

We are proudly supported by a robust volunteer network — including retired providers, medical and dental students from local universities, community advocates, and caring individuals — all trained in cultural humility, trauma-informed care, HIPAA compliance, and inclusive service delivery.

Every team member brings expertise, empathy, and a shared belief that quality care should never depend on ability to pay.

Why We Provide Free Care

In our community, cost remains one of the biggest reasons people delay or skip essential health services — leading to worse outcomes, higher emergency room use, and unnecessary suffering. The Free Clinic eliminates that barrier completely.

By offering all services at no cost to patients, we enable:

  • Early detection and prevention of serious conditions
  • Consistent management of chronic illnesses
  • Timely mental health and substance use support
  • Basic and restorative dental care
  • Holistic case management that addresses social determinants of health

Our free model is made possible through generous community donations, foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, local business support, and strategic partnerships. This community-funded approach allows us to prioritize patient needs over paperwork, billing, or insurance restrictions — keeping our focus squarely on care and impact.

Our Commitment to the Community

We are more than a clinic — we are a trusted partner in building a healthier Cleveland. By providing barrier-free access to comprehensive services, we help reduce health disparities, strengthen families, and support a more resilient community.

Whether you’re seeking care for yourself or a loved one, interested in volunteering, donating, or partnering with us, we welcome your involvement. Together, we make quality health care a reality for everyone.

We look forward to serving you.
