The breadth of the Medical department's services are the cornerstone of The Free Clinic. This includes an Acute Care Clinic, Adult Primary Care Clinic, Teen Clinic, Women’s Clinic and various volunteer-run specialty clinics.
Services provided include general and acute medical care, chronic disease management (including diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia), gynecological and family planning services, and STD diagnosis and treatment, as well as pharmacy, lab, and X-Ray services. These services are offered on a mixed appointment and walk-in schedule.
Most services require an appointment. Limited Medical walk-in hours are as follows: Wednesday mornings (doors open at 9:30am) and the 2nd & 4th Saturday mornings (doors open at 8:30am) of each month. For all walk-in clinics, a limited number of patients are seen on a first come, first served basis.
In addition, The Free Clinic offers monthly specialty clinics in the following fields: Adolescent; Dermatology; Ear, Nose, & Throat; HIV Early Intervention Program; Nephrology; Neurology; Ophthalmology; Physical Therapy; Podiatry; Pulmonology; Rheumatology; and Specialty GYN.
As with all The Free Clinic's services, all diagnostic tests and medications are free of charge.
